Most of my musical experience is vocal. I have been singing for 15 years, and I
have professionally trained and performed as Classical, Gospel, Country, Rock, and Rhythm and Blues Vocalist. I also have nine years of experience on piano, six years of experience on alto saxophone, and have been a featured dancer in several musical productions.

I had the biggest crush on a boy at my church and one day my best friend and I were running out to meet him and his friends. Well, I left the restroom in such a hurry that I had tucked the back of my skirt in to my hose. I didn’t see that one coming, but everyone saw me going!

I was having a very relaxed day complete with jeans, bare face with a touch of lip gloss, and a pony tail. A handsome man asked, “Are you wearing makeup?” He could have been completely stroking my ego, but everyone deserves to be coaxed every once and a while!

Oddly enough, I don’t have just one role model. Over the years I have somehow made a patchwork of different outstanding people like, Vanessa Williams, my sixth grade teacher, Mrs. Vickie Pitts, Dr. Condalezza Rice, and gospel legends, The Clark Sisters.

No one can ever beat you at being you! In comparing yourself to someone else you will always come up short, but in challenging yourself, you are placed on a road to success.
