Courtney is a life long resident of Sheridan attending Sheridan High School and graduating in 2006. Courtney also attended Sheridan College graduating with an Associate of Science Degree.
Courtney was also Wyoming's Miss Outstanding Teen in 2005.
She is interning at the college this summer and plans on attending the University of Wyoming to pursue a degree in communication and public relations.
As Miss Sheridan College, her personal platform is Attention Deficit Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder.
"I hope someday I can be a positive role model for kids with ADD, because I have it," she said in an interview with staff reporter Nicole Virtue of The Sheridan Press. Courtney states, "Eight percent of school-age kids and 2 to 4 percent of adults have the disorder. I think dispelling the myths helpsthe kids."
