The Natural State
The most memorable reaction when annouced as Miss USA has got to be Terri Utley's. She is the only Miss Arkansas to ever win the MIss USA title. This year, the Natural State state is counting on Adrielle Churchill to get their 2nd Miss USA crown. Adrielle is 23 years old and hails from Dover. You wouldn't know by just looking at this brainy lawyer that she was raised on a cattle farm. She attended the University of Arkansas as a National Merit Scholar and a prestigious Honors College Fellow, and is the published author of a bilingual study of Nicaraguan immigration patterns.
Adrielle has some big shoes to fill as last year's Miss Arkansas, Chanley Painter, did really well at nationals. Chanley placed in the top 10, the only Arkansas to do this well in years. Jessica Furer placed in the top 15 back in 2005.
Adrielle placed 2nd Runner Up at the state level in 2009 before winning the title in 2010.
