After a controversial year for the Miss California USA organization, they managed to find another great contender for Miss USA this year. Nicole Johnson is a 24-year old Finance Assistant from Westlake Village.
California is one of the most successful states in the Miss USA pageant, producing 5 winners and managed to make the semi finals 42 times. Nicole was crowned after the controversial firing of the 2009 winner, Carrie Prejean, who voiced out her disapproval of gay marriage during the live finale last year.
This is Nicole's third attempt at the state level, where she placed 1st Runner Up in 2007 and top 15 in 2008.
