The Peach State
It's been 17 years since Georgia came so close to winning the Miss USA crown, when Erin Nance placed 1st Runner Up to Kenya Summer Moore in 1993. Ever since, the Peach State has only came as close as 2nd Runner Up, in 2001 & 2006. They have a very strong delegate this year with Cassady Lance.
Cassady is a veteran of this pageant system. She was Miss Georgia Teen USA in 2003 and had placed 3rd Runner Up in 2008 and 2nd Runner Up in 2009 in the state Miss division before winning the title in 2010.
Cassady is 24 years old and hails from Savannah. She is attending the University of Houston, pursuing a second degree in broadcasting.
