Maryland has got to be the unluckiest state in the Miss USA system because the only Miss USA winner they ever had was dethroned. Barbara Ann Eschenburg was stripped of her title when organizers found out that she is in fact married and a mother.
Maybe this year's contestant from Maryland will change their luck. This year's representative is Simone Feldman. Simone is 23 and a resident of North Potomac. She recently graduated from the University of Maryland College Park, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with an additional focus on Community and Public Health. Simone was the secretary of the Pre-Dental Society at the University of Maryland
This is Simone's second shot at the state crown. She finished in the top 16 in 2009..
