Talk about a long drought! South Dakota has only placed twice in the history of Miss USA and the last one was back in 1974. It's time that the Mt. Rushmore State get at least in the semi finals again. They have a good chance with Emily Miller.
Emily resides in the town of Irene and is 21 years old. She is pursuing a Dance Performance/Choreography major and a double minor in Entertainment Management and Accounting at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Emily Anne is a Dean's List student, and a recipient of the Dance Educators of America Scholarship, CSUN Scholarship, Western University Exchange Scholarship, and the Kenneth and Mary Alice DeVous Fine Arts Scholarship.
She has never competed in any pageant before.
