HIGHEST PLACEMENT AT MISS USA: Winner
NUMBER OF TIMES THEY MADE THE SEMI FINALS: 48
LAST TIME THEY PLACED: 2009 - Finalist
It's the most successful of all the states, producing a record 9 Miss USA's and being the only state that had 5 winners in a row, from 1985 to 1989. They made the semi finals 48 times out of the 58 year history of the pageant.
And this year's contender can easily add another point to the already unbelievable record of the Lone Star State. Kelsey Moore is this year's Miss Texas. She's only 19 but is definitely one of the two tallest contestants this year. This blonde stunner stands 6'2" tall. She is a Student Athlete at the Division 1 Level, attending the University of Texas at El Paso on a full-ride volleyball scholarship, and is majoring in Electronic Media.
Surprisingly, she has never competed in any pageants before.
