Wisconsin has never had a Miss USA and their highest placement ever at Miss USA was 2nd Runner Up, which was achieved by Mary Lynn Cook in 1974. Since then, they've only made the semi finals two more times in 1979 and recently, in 2007.
If the Dairy State is looking to have their first Miss USA, this might be the year. Their contestant this year is the gorgeous Courtney Lopez. Courtney is 20 and hails from Racine. She currently is attending the Milwaukee Area Technical College in the registered nursing program and works part-time at Aurora South Shore Hospital in the medical surgical unit.
Courtney is no stranger to the pageant arena as she represented Wisconsin in the 2008 Miss Teen USA Pageant in the Bahamas where Stevi Perry of Arkansas won the crown.
