CANDIDATE NO. 2 - CARISHEILA MAY KUIJPERS
Carisheila reminds us so much of Kurara Chibana, Miss Japan Universe 2006, who placed
first runner up to Puerto Rico's Zuleyka Rivera.  We think she will do well at Miss Universe.
She's got a fresh and modern look, with a little bit of attitude and non-stop style.  If she wins Bb. Pilipinas Universe, we just hope that she keeps her long hair, receives great interview training and decides to wear a daring and bold evening gown at Miss Universe.  Combine all that,
we think that Carisheila has a strong chance to become Philippines' next Miss Universe.

CANDIDATE NO. 9 - APRIL LOVE JORDAN
April embodies the natural and true Filipina beauty.  This dark and exotic beauty will do well
in any international competition.  She's a veteran of the pageant arena and it shows.  This girl
knows how to play the crowd, loves the camera and very comfortable on stage.  We think
that she will do well on either Miss Universe or Miss International.  Again, with good interview
training, bold evening gown and right hairdo, she will make the Philippines proud.

Pageantlovers.com wishes all of this year's candidates the best of luck.

We will be at the Araneta Coliseum covering the pageant live on Saturday, March 7.  Please stay tune for live updates during the broadcast at Fountain of Beauty forum and our sister site, Veestarz.com.

For local viewers, the pageant will be broadcasted on GMA 7 at 9:30pm.  Please check your local listings.

CANDIDATE NO. 12 - JAYSEL ARROZAL
Here is another classic Filipina beauty.  Joining the pageant again this year, Jaysel comes in
more polished, better hair and even sexier the second time around.  Her experience last year
definitely gave her the advantage because she came back this year with a bang.  We hope that
all her hard work pays off and that the judges notice her this time.  Jaysel will be an
incredible representative to the Miss International Beauty Pageant.

CANDIDATE NO. 6 - MA. PAULA BIANCA PAZ
Who can miss this exotic goddess?  Bianca exudes a sensual aura everytime she comes on
stage.  She has that "it" factor and she is Philippines' best bet against the Latina delegates,
who often beat the Asian contenders in the world of pageantry.  Once again, with the proper
training and the right attitude, this woman will do well internationally.  She will be a good
choice for any of the three crowns up for grabs.

CANDIDATE NO. 23 - BARBARA SALVADOR
Barbara reminds us of Miss Puerto Rico Universe 1998, Joyce Giraud.  This stunning beauty
comes with the complete package.  She has the perfect hour-glass figure, unblemished
complexion and long, dark shinny black hair.  We could see her doing well either at Miss
Universe or Miss World.  She just needs to push herself more to stand out and get noticed.

CANDIDATE NO. 22 - PRISCILLA MAE HONORIO
Priscilla proved once again that some of the most beautiful Filipinas are from Southern
Philippines.  This gorgeous Cebuana got our attention from the very beginning.  She has
that "pageant girl" look with the pageant "big hair" to go with it.  With her charm, grace and
bubbly personality, we think she'll do well at either Miss International or Miss World.

CANDIDATE NO. 13 - SANDRA INEZ SEIFERT
Historically, Filipina mestizas don't do well in international competitions but Sandra Inez
could prove that wrong.  This German-Filipino mix has a killer bod and outstanding stage
presence.  Having lived in the United States and speaks 5 languages, she will ace the
interview portion of this competition.  The only question is, will the judges look beyond her
mestiza looks, American accent and still consider her a true representative of the Filipina
beauty?  We think Sandra will do well in any of the three international pageants at stake for the winners.

CANDIDATE NO. 24 - ABIGAIL LESLEY CRUZ
Another Binibining Pilipinas veteran is trying her luck for the second time.  Abigail joined in
2007 and became a runner up that year.  This year, she came back more determined than
ever to nab one of the crowns at stake.  This gorgeous lady knows what it takes to become a winner and she is definitely one to watch during finals night.  She will do well at Miss
International or Miss Universe.

CANDIDATE NO. 3 - RICHELL ANGALOT
This Bohol native, Richell is a classic beauty and brains combination.  This tourism student
from the University of the Philippines-Diliman is fit, gorgeous and pretty hard to miss.
She is a local TV celebrity and very comfortable in front of the camera.  If she nabs one of the
three titles on Saturday night, we think that Richell will do well at any of them.

CANDIDATE NO. 10 - PRISCILLA NATIVIDAD
By just looking at our final favorite, you would never guess in a million years that this stunner
is hearing-impaired.  Priscilla is just 18 but this girl is very matured beyond her years and we
think will do really well in an international pageant.  Even though some people think that being
hearing-impaired can cause issues for Priscilla, we think that this could be to her advantage.  She
could follow the footsteps of Vanessa Peretti, who became the very first ever hearing-impaired candidate at the Miss Venezuela Pageant in 2006.  Vanessa ended up winning and representing
Venezuela at the 2007 Miss International Beauty Pageant in Japan where she placed top 15.
