Tidbits about the pageant*

Rhode Island and Indiana made the semi-finals for the first time.

New Hampshire also made the cut for the first time; it has not placed since this pageant.

Texas placed for the fourth consecutive year, equalling their streak from the first four years of the competition.

Georgia made the top three for the second consecutive year.

North Carolina placed for the first time since 1987.

In a rare occurence, four delegates later competed at the same Miss USA pageant, Miss USA 1995.

They were:

o Heather Hart (Indiana) - Miss Indiana USA

o Jennifer Wilhoit (Maryland) - Miss Maryland USA (semi-finalist)

o Keri Mowenowski (Maine) - Miss Maine USA
