In the early years of the Miss Teen USA Pageant, the semi finalists go through a one on one interview with the host, getting the opportunity for the studio audience and the viewers at home to get to know each semi finalist a little bit.
Unfortunately, this segment was eliminated at the start of the new millenium. Now, there's only final question left.
In the past, there have been some very interesting interview segments in the pageant. The contestants don't know what the questions that will be asked and the host certainly doesn't know what answers he will get from the contestants.
Needless to say, due to the spontaneity of each question, there have been some very interesting and very funny responses. We are going to visit some of those funny interview moments.
Dick: "Cairo is the city of pickles, is this true?"
Miss Georgia: "That's exactly true."
Dick: "Is your high school mascot a pickle?"
Miss Georgia: "No, our high school mascot is a syrup maker."
Dick: "A syrup maker?"
Miss Georgia: "We actually don't have a syrup costume, we have a chicken costume." (people laughed)
Dick: "Wait, wait a minute, let me try to get this straight. You come from the pickle city and you got a chicken as a mascot and a syrup company sponsors the team."
Miss Georgia: "...and they sell pickles also."
Dick: "You grew up in the rural Georgia but you don't live on a farm?
Miss Georgia: "No, I don't."
Dick: "Did you ever spend time in the farm?"
Miss Georgia: "Actually, I have and it wasn't the greatest experience of my life."
Dick: "Tell me about it."
Miss Georgia: "Well I figured that when I went to the farm that all the animals would gather around me like Snow White, they didn't."
Dick: "How did they treat you?"
Miss Georgia: "The chickens try to peck me, and the horses try to bite me and I'd step on something and..."
Dick: "Yeah, yeah...that's a lot would happen on a farm. Did you leave immediately?"
Miss Georgia: "Yes, I did. I went to the mall instead."
